Chocolates and flowers may work for some, but the last thing anyone wants to do is get stuck on a boring, cheesy, cliché date on Valentine’s Day.
I know Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday, and with after school activities, it may be hard to celebrate. Here are some great ways to freshen up your V-Day after school or, you can even observe on Friday night if you’re willing to wait.
Make a trip to Rockefeller Center to go ice-skating! Every local should experience this at least once in his or her lifetime. What better way to do this than with your Valentine? After skating, make a trip to Magnolia Bakery. You won’t regret it, I promise.
Stroll through Central Park
It may be a little chilly out, but there’s never a bad time to visit Central Park. You can even take a horse carriage ride around the park. The beautiful scenery will make for a super cute photo op.
Play tourist for a day
Explore this awesome city! Locals tend not to visit tourist attractions, but try and hit all of the spots around the city you’ve never been. Check out the Statue of Liberty or go for a walk on the Highline.
This is a good chance to explore with the person you love.
Go on a food tour around the area of your choice in NYC. You will be able to learn some history about the area that locals probably didn’t even know of all whilst tasting some delicious food along the way. It is perfect for anyone that loves food as much as me. Food is the key to anyone’s heart, am I right, ladies?
Movie and Dinner Date
This may seem basic, but either order out or cook dinner and watch your favorite movies! Each of you select your absolute favorite and watch both. Movies can tell you a lot about a person.
Try and make this V-Day a learning experience. Have fun! Enjoy, J
