I’m the biggest advocate for a neutral fashion palette. My closet mostly consists mostly of whites, tans, blush tones and black, with denim mixed in.
Being that it’s summer, adding in vibrant colors is essential for a good switch up.
Here are a few tips for adding color into your ootds without looking overly done up.
A bold colored accessory is essential all year round. Deep reds in the fall and winter, earthy greens in the spring and this summer it’s all about yellow. A yellow bag will flatter an all-white look; it pairs well with denim and compliments an all-black, daytime look.
Whether I’m wearing a tight dress or jeans, I love throwing on a kimono over my look! Be sure to pair it with a monotone outfit.
Along with your little black bikini, grab a bright colored set for that beach vacay. Or style a neutral swimsuit with a vivacious tote or cover up. Think Rihanna in her Work video when she rocked that Tommy Hilfiger Jamaican-inspired cover up.
If you want to wear bright clothing, I have one rule; only one piece. Vivid color skirts with all white tops or bright hued blouses with jeans are two examples.
Start small and subtle. Remember the office may not always be the best place to try these out so play around with looks and styles while brunchin’ or hanging with your friends. Be sure to tag me on Instagram (@TRENDMOVEMENT) with your spin on summer brights! Stay stylish! Xx Sas
