We’ve all seen the tongue-in-cheek memes mentioning “new year, new me.”, but kidding aside, I think there is some truth to this. As we begin 2018, I’ve increasingly seen changes within my generation; most of them, positive.
The notion of doing what makes us happy, as opposed to doing something purely for monetary reasons has helped create entirely new industries, such as Social Influencers, AI Engineers, Renewable Energy Technicians, and countless others. Passion has become the driving force when choosing a career path. I believe a huge part of that is thanks to social media. We no longer live in a bubble consisting of the city in which we live in. We can now simply click on a geographical hashtag and take an in-depth look at what’s happening in that region. For many, that has come with great responsibility when noting injustices, needs, or demands of different territories around the world, and for the most part, our generation has responded brilliantly. We’re on the fast track to achieving things beyond our wildest expectations from a generation I’m honored to be a part of. Let’s make 2018 one for the books, it all starts with self-improvement, self-love, and understanding- you already have all the tools and now it’s time to put them into action.
I wanted to share some aspects that have helped me progress in the past few years. Some factors were minor and others, life-changing. Here are tips to help you achieve the best you yet! Xx, SAS

If 2017 taught us anything, we learned that solidarity can turn an idea into a movement for the greater good. I strongly believe these ideas will only gain momentum in 2018. Find causes that you feel most passionate about and get involved. Whether it’s sharing on social, attending group meetings, or raising awareness within your own community. Here are some noteworthy movements.
